Yes, the Wireless Enabled version of the 700E-XL and 7002B comes with both WiFi and Bluetooth. This enables you to wirelessly control your grill through the Z Grills App. 

If you choose the Non-wireless version, you will not be able to remotely adjust the temperatures and you require a separate wireless thermometer that is included in our Non-wireless Pro Bundles or can be purchase separately.

You sure can! The Basic Bundle and Pro Bundle comes with a cast iron BBQ plate designed to reach up to 300C, great for searing a steak.

Yes, you can use any BBQ wood pellets. Here is a list of some common pellet brands available in Australia that we have tested in a Z Grill.

*Some flavoured pellets may burn at slightly different temperatures.
*Never use heating pellets not designed for a pellet smoker or pellet grill.

  • The 700E-XL has an additional layer of steel sheet in the bottom half of the drum which forms an air gap and reduces heat loss. For this reason it is actually quite efficient.
  • The pellet usage will differ greatly based on type of pellets used, outside air temperature, wind exposure and what temperature the grill is set at.
  • Approximate pellet usage:
    • Low temperature operation = 0.3 to 0.5kg/hour (0.7 to 1.1lbs)
    • High temperature operation = 1 to 2kg/hour (2.2 to 4.4lbs)
