Such a reliable easy to use pellet smoker that delivers great results. If it can be cooked in the oven the z grill can cook it better.
As someone fairly new in the game of smoking, I had only used a Weber kettle in the past year to do low and slow. I thought it was time to upgrade to a decent sized smoker. Purchasing the Z Grill 700E-XL was the best move I have made since entering this game. First off, there is the customer service by Michael. If there was ever a chance to rate someone 5 star for customer service, Michael (Mick as commonly known) deserves every star under the sun. He was happy to talk me through any hints and tips I needed and provide all the assistance relating to the set up of the smoker.
To the smoker itself, I tried my hand at some beef cheeks for my first ever time and they came out perfectly. It’s so good that you can have a machine that is reliable to set and forget, yet to also end up with some quality low and slow cooks.
For the price you pay compared to other smokers in the market, this purchase is a no brainer. There’s also a great Facebook group for the owners that share recipes and give tips where they can. Everyone on there are so genuine, which makes the whole experience that much better.
Once again, thank you Mick for being there whenever I had questions. Great product and great service.
The 700E-XL is my first pellet smoker and as soon as I tried it, there was no going back to gas! This thing has been my new COVID hobby where I’ve been able to throw some ribs or lamb on while working at home.

Bought the 450A smoker and couldn’t be happier. Does an awesome job, but now we can’t keep the extended family away because they’re wanting more smoked meat!

If you choose the Non-wireless version, you will not be able to remotely adjust the temperatures and you require a separate wireless thermometer that is included in our Non-wireless Pro Bundles or can be purchase separately.

- The 700E-XL has an additional layer of steel sheet in the bottom half of the drum which forms an air gap and reduces heat loss. For this reason it is actually quite efficient.
- The pellet usage will differ greatly based on type of pellets used, outside air temperature, wind exposure and what temperature the grill is set at.
- Approximate pellet usage:
- Low temperature operation = 0.3 to 0.5kg/hour (0.7 to 1.1lbs)
- High temperature operation = 1 to 2kg/hour (2.2 to 4.4lbs)
