Packing and Freight

Small Item Delivery

Orders for small items from our shop (not Z Grills smokers) will be posted by Australia Post or a courier. The freight cost will be displayed at the checkout page.

An email with a tracking link will be provided once the items have been posted. 

Delivery may take 4 to 7 days depending on your location.

Grill Delivery Cost

We offer various delivery options (see more below) to most postcodes around Australia, including home delivery, warehouse pickup, freight depot pickup and business delivery. To see these options and the cost of each, add the product to you shopping cart and proceed to the checkout. 

Type in your suburb and postcode and the options will be displayed.

Grill Delivery Time

We normally ship twice a week, so depending on the day you place the order dispatch (or collection) will be 2-4 days. Shipping to your local freight depot or home takes 2-7 days depending on your location. 

Summer Season

In the busy season between September through to the end of January a combination of lots of orders, and freight company limitations can lead to a 2 week lead-time.  Please contact our support team to confirm the current lead time for your location and preferred shipping method.

 Grill Delivery Options

We offer several options to get your Z Grills smoker to you safely and quickly. Not all options are available for every postcode.

Option 1: Home Delivery

  • Delivered to your front door in 3-5 days depending on your location.
  •  

Option 2: Warehouse Pickup (click and collect)

  • We have warehouses in Melbourne (Epping), Sydney (Chipping Norton) & Brisbane (Berrinba) which will be shown as “click and collect” options at no charge.
  • Not all products models are available at all locations, so please check with us before placing order.
  • Once you have placed your order we will notify you of the address of the warehouse and what day it will be available for pickup.
  • The boxes will be provided loose, not packed on a wooden pallet.
  • See further down this page for the box dimensions which will fit in most cars.

Option 3: Freight Depot Pickup (click and collect)

  • We ship to your closest freight depot for you to collect with your own car which will be shown as a “click and collect” option with freight charge.
  • This option is cheaper than home delivery and we have freight depots all over Australia.
  • The freight depot locations you can select from will be shown in the shopping cart page during checkout. 
  • See further down this page for the box dimensions which will fit in most cars.
  • The order will need to be collected within 5 days of arriving to the depot.

Option 4: Business Delivery

  • For regional areas that may not have a nearby freight depot, we can ship to any business that can accept a truck delivery and has a forklift to unload the grill packed on a wooden pallet.  
  • After placing the order we will contact you to confirm the business name, address and contact person for delivery.

Grill Safe Packing

For Home Delivery, Depot Pickup or Business Delivery options we pack the Z Grills on a custom wood pallet and shrink wrap so it arrives safely. The grill and accessories can be removed from the wooden pallet to put in your car.  The depot may request you take the wooden pallet with you, or charge a rubbish fee if you do not wish to. The pallets are lightweight and the same footprint at the grill box, so should be able to fit in your car along with the boxes.

Delivery FAQ

1. Why do the Click & Collect options cost money and have a transit time?

We partner with multiple freight companies to use their depots as a pickup points. This means in most cases, we’ll need to dispatch your order out from one of our three warehouses in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. This option often costs significantly less than home deliveries especially for non-metro areas.

2. Where exactly is your Click & Collect location?

You will receive the exact pick up address once your order is ready for pick up. As part of our agreement with our partnering freight companies, we are not to share the exact pickup location prior to that.

3. Will the grill fit my car?

Our grills will fit in most hatchback vehicles and UTEs, however it may struggle to fit in a standard sedan. If you want to be sure, you can check out the dimensions of the boxes on our packing and freight page.

4. Why are some Click & Collect options cheaper?

The prices of the Click & Collect options vary from location to location. We do our best to get you the lowest freight price by comparing rates from multiple carriers.

5. When will I receive my order?

We usually dispatch your order the following business day after receiving it. It will then take roughly takes 1-3 days for metro orders and 3-7 days for regional orders.
